James (7:00 am Sunday)- At 3am last night, the National Weather Service officially declared a Winter Storm Warning for our area, this means that within 24 hours we will be directly affected by Winter Storm Titan.
This storm is to first arrive as a rainstorm, as temperatures throughout the region are going to be seasonable today. This will change relatively rapidly this evening into tonight as the system moves in. By the early morning hours on Monday, the rain will shift to sleet and eventually snow.
Temperatures will continue to drop throughout the day on Monday and snow will be at it's heaviest from 8am-12pm with snowfall reaching up to 1-2 inches per hour. Expect bitterly cold temperatures throughout the day, and for Arctic air to settle into the region well into this coming week.
Winter Storm Titan could bring the last batch of winter weather for this region. So be safe, enjoy it while it lasts and we will keep you updated on any and all changes throughout the day!
Nick (4:00 pm) - Rain has started falling and temperatures have dropped to 37 degrees.
Nick (10:45 pm) - Temperature is 37 degrees. Next round of rain is moving in. This rain will lead to the freezing rain/sleet. Snow will come in the morning.
